A backpack for Minecraft survival, crafted from vanilla items
Cassonade adds a backpack to Minecraft: 54 more slots, as much as a large chest, worn in its own equipment slot and crafted from leather, string and a bundle. No new resources, no new tier, just room for what you carry.

How it works
54 more slots, crafted from leather, string and a bundle.
- Craft it from 4 leather, 4 string and a bundle, then wear it in its own equipment slot: Shift-click it in the inventory.
- Open it with B or from the tab at the top of the inventory. It opens in a leather panel where the recipe book usually sits; opening one closes the other.
- 54 slots, as much as a large chest.
- While it is open, Shift-click sends items straight into it. Armor and shields still go to their own slots first.
- Like a Shulker box, it keeps its contents when placed in a chest or dropped. Neither a backpack nor a Shulker box can go inside a backpack.
- On death, it drops like the rest of your inventory, unless keepInventory is on.

How do I craft the backpack?
Put a bundle in the middle of a crafting table, string on both sides of it and in the two top corners, and leather in the top middle and along the whole bottom row: 4 leather, 4 string and a bundle in all.
How do I open the backpack?
Wear it in its equipment slot (Shift-click it in the inventory), then press B or click the backpack tab at the top of the inventory. The key can be changed in Options → Controls → Key Binds → Cassonade.
Do I lose my backpack when I die?
It drops where you died with everything inside, like the rest of your inventory. With keepInventory on, you keep it.
Does the backpack work in multiplayer?
Yes, when the server has Cassonade too. A server without the mod has nowhere to keep the extra slots, so the backpack is not offered there.
