An elytra slot: fly without taking off your chestplate
In vanilla Minecraft, elytra take the chestplate's place. Cassonade gives them their own equipment slot, next to the offhand, so you can fly and stay protected at the same time.

How it works
Fly without taking your chestplate off.
- Elytra have their own slot, next to the offhand. Right-click them, or Shift-click them in the inventory, to equip them.
- Your chestplate stays in its slot and keeps protecting you while you fly.
- They fly, wear out and take Mending exactly as in vanilla.
- Other players see your wings over your armor.
Questions
Can I wear elytra and a chestplate at the same time?
Yes. Elytra go in their own slot, next to the offhand, and the chestplate stays in its slot: you fly with your full armor on.
Does it change how elytra fly?
No. Gliding, speed, durability and repairs are vanilla; only where they are worn changes.
How do I repair elytra in their slot?
As in vanilla: with phantom membranes at the anvil, or with Mending, which works in the elytra slot too.
