A woodcutter: cut planks into stairs, slabs, doors and more
Craft a woodcutter, and cut wood the way the stonecutter cuts stone: put a plank in, pick the piece, take it out. Same window, in wood tones.
Part of Cassonade, a free vanilla+ mod for Minecraft 26.3 (Fabric)
How it works
The stonecutter's twin for wood.
- Stairs, slabs, fences, fence gates, doors, trapdoors, signs, buttons and pressure plates of every wood.
- A piece gives what the crafting table gives per plank, rounded down and at least one: cutting is never worse than crafting, and never a way to get more out of the same wood.
- The stonecutter keeps cutting stone only.
Questions
How do I craft the woodcutter?
Put an iron ingot over three planks of any wood in a crafting table.
Does it give more than the crafting table?
No. A piece gives what the crafting table gives per plank, rounded down and at least one, so cutting wood is never a way to get more out of it.
Does it work in multiplayer?
Yes, with Cassonade on the server, which provides the window and its recipes.
